Sciences Academy To Be Organizer of Scientific Activities: Danesh

Kabul (BNA) The Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh has said that the Sciences Academy should be organizer of scientific activities and the source of knowledge for scholars and researchers, Presidential press office reported BNA.
He made the remarks in meeting with the rector and leadership board of the Sciences Academy of Afghanistan here yesterday. Praising the second vice president for being as scholar and academician, rector of the Science Academy said that the academy of science of Afghanistan has 500 people including 291 researchers in its establishment but is facing problems in paying their salaries.
Thanking the delegation, the vice president said that the Science Academy of Afghanistan has been overlooked in recent years and promised to do his best to solve all the problems of the academy. According to another report, a number of elders and notables of Kabul called on the second vice president yesterday in his office and briefed him about their problems including creating security problems by police and increasing drug addictions among the youth. The Vice-President besides promising to look into their problems asked the people to explain their problems without any fear.
