Kabul (BNA) The day is marked in many countries today. And the objective of marking the day is to give more roles to the youths in taking larger decisions, capacity building and potential of the youths across the world.
Our society is lucky that majority of its populations is youth and we are proud of our youth talents and it is our responsibility to do our best to develop their ability and aptitudes.
A lot of works have been done for providing job opportunities, education and participation of the youth in the country’s affairs and society by the government and civil society over the past 10 years. However, it is not enough and still our youths are faced with problems such as unemployment, lack of suitable condition for education and tendency of our youths for migration.
The government entities and civil society have to work to recognize the problems of the youths and find solution in this regard as well as forward specific suggestions to concerned bodies. Paving ground for proper opportunities for youths’ participation in the fields of politics, culture and social affairs to strengthen government entities and civil society is among the preconditions.
I congratulate the ministry for information and culture that has taken practical steps through its deputy for youth affairs over the past few years to alleviate the youth problems.
At the end, I congratulate the World Youth Day to all youths of the country wishing their success in serving the country.
