Kabul (BNA) Introducing Abdul Hakim Munib as the new acting minister for Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs here yesterday, the second vice president Mohammad Sarwar Danesh said there were still many questions remained unanswered for the Afghan people on the peace process, a statement from the VP press office said.
Pointing to accelerated peace efforts, VP Danesh said Afghans were willing peace to end the ongoing bloodshed not to further deteriorate the situation. He went on saying that Afghan people won’t allow a group to decide their fate, and the country’s neighbors once again start destabilizing Afghanistan.
Hinting to crucial role of the country’s Ulema, VP Danesh said the Ulema Overall Council and other religious figures denounced and condemned the ongoing war and bloodshed inside and outside of the country and fulfilled their obligations before the nation and the religion.
VP Danesh said the new acting minister had enough knowledge of the religious affairs and is respected by the country’s Ulema. He also praised the activities of former minister Osmani.
The second vice president asked Ulema to continue playing their effective role in the ongoing situation of the country.
Meanwhile former Minister of Hajj thanked the government’s trust during his tenure and praised the activities of VP Danesh as the chairman of Hajj committee.
The new minister of Hajj also pledged to do more for the ministry and Ulema and vowed to organize religious programs in cooperation with the Ulema in the country.
