FM Meets Foreign Secretary of India

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salahuddin Rabbani met with Foreign Secretary of India, Mr. Jaishankar and his accompanying delegation.
At the outset, Mr. Jaishankar stated that the relation between the Republic of India and Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has deep roots and Afghanistan has a very important place in the foreign policy of Republic of India. 
Mr. Jaishankar while emphasizing on commitment to continue the cooperation in various areas with Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, assured that the Republic of India will have close cooperation in regional connectivity with Islamic Republic of Afghanistan when it comes to SAARC priorities. Later on, Rabbani stated that the Republic of India is a good friend of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and appreciated the cooperation of Republic of India especially in Salma Dam Project, Chabahar Port, constructing a new building for National Assembly of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Agriculture University of Kandahar. At the end, Rabbani assured that during his tenure as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, he will try to deepen and widen the relation and cooperation between the two countries.
