Kabul (BNA) A one-day training workshop for newly appointed district governors under the theme of “awareness for district governors” was held by the Local Organs Department. Addressing the workshop Abdul Khaliq Farahi head of the department discussed eradication of administrative corruption at the local government department, and asked the district governors to strive hard for ensuring of transparency at their respective regions.
He called them as representatives of the government to remove the gap between the government and the people and properly address their problems.
The district governors also proposed providing possibilities to tackle the problems such as shortage of buildings and equipment, lack of vehicles, non-coordination between the police commanders in the districts, non-availability of guards and delays in payment of salaries of the district governors.
