Kabul (BNA) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday between ministries of interior (MoI) and women affairs in connection with recruitment of women in police forces.
After signing the agreement, Noorulhaq Uloomi, Minister of Interior said, “MoI has provided opportunity not only for men but also for women and girls to actively participate in maintaining security and enforcement of public order in the country by delivering services in police forces.
Afterwards, minister of women affairs Delbar Nazari considered signing the agreement as a positive step towards expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation, adding that ministry of women affairs was committed to any kind of cooperation with MoI in connection with capacity building of female police.
Minister of women affairs further said holding programs for joining women in police forces and coordination with government and private education institutions for encouragement of graduate girls to join police forces would be particular goals to be followed by the ministry.
