New Code of Conduct Govt. Key Achievement, VP Danesh

Kabul (BNA) In a ceremony held in the Council of Ministers’ Palace by the ministry of justice, the second vice president Sarwar Danesh introduced the new code of conduct, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported on Saturday.
Preparation and condification of the new code of conduct which contains the country’s all criminal sentences, is one of the national unity government’s key achievements and a great change in term of law and legislation, the agency further said.
The second vice president congratulated the publishing of new code of conduct to justice and judicial organizations and the ministry of justice, BNA added.
Pointing at specifications of the new code of conduct, second VP Danesh said the law has canceled more than thirty laws, through which more easiness and transparency would appear in justice and judicial organizations, the agency went on to say.
Law on elimination of violence against women is the only law which has remained independent and it is hoped one day, it is also included of the code of conduct, he added.
He clarified that if the new code of conduct is implemented, the responsibility of the ministry for higher education would increase on law faculties, the agency continued.
He stressed that the ministry of higher education is obliged to pay serious heed in this regard and the law faculties’ teachers should make their textbooks in accordance with the code of conduct so their law graduates could better understand the enforced laws of the country. The ceremony was attended by a number of cabinet, Supreme Court and attorney general office members, a number of government high-ranking officials as well as media-men and legal practitioners.
