KABUL (BNA) Dr. Qalandar Ibad, Acting Minister of Public Health, met with officials of the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, UNFPA, and other donors to the health sector.
According to reports: the meeting focused on further management between the Ministry of Public Health and implementation institutions, accountability, and transparency.
The Acting Minister of Public Health stressed the need for greater coordination and accountability with health care workforces and called on all healthcare workers to share budget plans, contracts, and contract approval with the Ministry of Public Health.
Dr. Ibad also criticized the performance of the institutions implementing health services in the provinces, saying that the performance of most of these institutions is not acceptable to us and that serious coordination should be done in this range.
He also stressed the support of the Islamic Emirate to all international organizations operating in Afghanistan and said that we are committed to ensuring your security in Afghanistan.
Same like, the official UN organizations committed to further coordination and cooperation in support of the Afghanistan sector of health and promised to boost coordination and improve the provision of health services.
