Afghan Red Crescent Society Facilitates Treatment for 40 Children with Congenital Heart Defects

 

KABUL (BNA) The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has facilitated the referral of 40 children diagnosed with congenital heart defects to specialized hospitals in Kabul.

These children will receive the necessary interventions and treatments, with all medical expenses covered by the ARCS.

Over the past 21 months, the ARCS has displayed unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children across Afghanistan.

Their latest initiative, which facilitates the referral of 40 children to four hospitals in Kabul, highlights their dedication to ensuring access to quality healthcare.

Congenital heart defects are a significant concern, affecting a considerable number of children in Afghanistan. The ARCS has taken decisive action to address this issue, working tirelessly to connect affected children with the specialized medical care they urgently require.

The ARCS disclosed that a total of 3,068 children have been referred to various hospitals throughout the country within the past 21 months.

The ARCS remains committed to their mission of serving the Afghan population, particularly vulnerable children who require immediate medical attention.

The facilitation of these referrals to hospitals in Kabul underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between humanitarian organizations, medical institutions, and communities.
