Union of Domestic Product Exporters Opens First Branch in Herat Province

HERAT(BNA): The Union of Domestic Product Exporters has officially inaugurated its first branch in Herat province, marking a significant step towards enhancing the marketing of domestic products on a global scale.
Ahmad Sayeed Sina, the Executive Director of the Union, explained that while the union has been operating primarily in the capital, the establishment of the Herat branch aims to broaden the reach of Afghan products in international markets.
Recent reports indicate a remarkable growth in exports this year. Mohammad Atif Daee, the Union’s Executive Director, revealed that the total exports in the first six months of this year have already matched the total exports for the entire previous year, 1402 in the solar.
Additionally, Mohammad Yousuf Amin, Executive Director of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, shared that over the past nine months, more than 180 types of goods worth over $54 million have been exported from Herat, reflecting a 20% increase compared to the prior year.
Industrialists present at the event voiced their concerns regarding the need for better facilitation of domestic product exports and addressing the challenges faced by exporters.
The primary export products from Afghanistan include agricultural goods, minerals, and carpets, which are shipped to various markets in Asia, Europe, and America.
