UNICEF Begins 72 Million AFN School Construction in Logar


KABUL(BNA): Officials from the Logar Department of Education have announced that buildings for six schools will be constructed in the province at a cost of 72 million Afghanis.

Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Hamidi, the head of the Logar Department of Education, reported to BNA, that the construction work on these school buildings in the provincial capital Pul-e-Alam and Mohammad Agha district began today with financial support from UNICEF.

According to Hamidi, the construction of these buildings will provide a structured learning environment for approximately 10,000 students.

It is noteworthy that the Logar Department of Education currently oversees a total of 282 schools in the center and districts, 82 of which still lack proper buildings.
