Two MoUs Signed to Support Vulnerable Families in Four Provinces

 

HERAT(BNA): The Director-General of Finance and Administration and the Acting Head of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) have signed two cooperation agreements with the Deputy of the OHW Institute to address the needs of vulnerable communities in four provinces.

According to a report from the ANDMA, the agreements were signed by Mawlawi Mohammad Alam Alamyar, Director-General of Finance and Administration and Acting Head of the NDMA, and Dr. Hikmatullah Usmani, Deputy of the OHW Institute.

These agreements focus on mutual cooperation to assist those affected during the winter season and to ensure better coordination in the implementation of various projects.

The first memorandum, valued at $737,548, aims to support 1,830 vulnerable families in the provinces of Helmand, Sar-e-Pul, and Takhar. Assistance includes $200 per family for winter fuel, $74 for winter clothing, and $57 for blankets, distributed as follows: 720 families in Helmand, 340 in Sar-e-Pul, and 770 in Takhar.

The second agreement, valued at $93,554, targets the Injil district of Herat province. It includes the construction of 75 latrines for 150 families, five blankets for each of these families, $70 in cash or its equivalent in Afghanis for purchasing winter food supplies, the installation of solar-powered electrical systems for 150 families, and water purification systems for 75 families.
