HERAT(BNA): Mawlawi Nematullah Hasan, the mayor of Herat, announced the launch of three major infrastructure projects today.
These include the construction of a 4.5-kilometer dual carriageway from Farqa to the Karez area, paving of the North and South lanes of the Farqa road, and the building of the Karez bridge along with irrigation canals in Herat city. The total cost of these projects is 120 million Afghanis.
Mawlawi Hasan noted that local residents have welcomed these developments and are calling for additional infrastructure projects in the province.
Worth noting that the dual carriageway from Farqa is a key route connecting Herat to Badghis.
