Kabul (BNA) The country’s cricket board says 60 acres of land has been set aside to build a standard cricket gymnasium in Kabul.
Farid Hotak, a spokesman for the board told BNA: “According to the decree of President Ashraf Ghani, sixty acres of land in Kabul’s Al-Wakhil district has been allocated for the construction of a standard cricket field, which will begin construction soon after the completion of basic formalities.”
He adds that the sports field will have a capacity of 35,000 spectators, and in addition to the indoor and outdoor sections, a 5-room guest house will be built for domestic and foreign guests.
