Shoreline Projects Save Hundreds of Homes in Panjshir Province

KABUL (BNA): The Head of the Panjshir River Basin Authority reports that four shoreline reinforcement projects implemented over the past year have prevented the destruction of 1,000 residential homes and 300 hectares of agricultural land in the province.
According to the Bakhtar News Agency, Mawlawi Fazlullah Adel stated that these projects, which include the construction of retaining walls, were executed in the Shutul, Anaba, Rokha, and Dara districts. The completion of these projects has safeguarded approximately 300 hectares of farmland and 1,000 homes from the threat of water damage.
He added that a budget of 20.4 million Afghanis was allocated for the implementation of these projects.
Local residents have welcomed these developments, describing them as a significant step in reducing water-related risks.
