Public Health Minister Highlights Role of Global Organizations in Advancing Healthcare Services
KABUL(BNA): The Acting Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a meeting with Maher Al-Shoun, the General Director of the international organization Intersos, and other senior officials to address critical healthcare priorities in Afghanistan.
A statement from the Ministry of Public Health highlighted that discussions focused on treating drug addiction, combating malnutrition, standardizing healthcare services, and improving access to health facilities in remote areas.
Mawlawi Jalali underscored the vital role of international organizations in enhancing Afghanistan’s healthcare sector. He urged Intersos to prioritize maternal and child care while ensuring the delivery of standard healthcare services in underserved regions to address existing challenges and improve accessibility.
Meanwhile, the Intersos organization delegation assured their continued support for Afghanistan’s healthcare initiatives, reaffirming their commitment to collaboration.
