Palestine-Israeli to Sign Agreement Today

KABUL(BNA): A ceasefire between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation regime is set to take effect at 8:30 AM Gaza local time. The Islamic Movement Hamas is expected to announce a list of Israeli prisoners to be released as part of the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, many Palestinians are filled with hope while anxiously awaiting the release of their loved ones from Israeli custody. Reports says that Israeli occupation forces have begun a gradual retreat from densely areas in Gaza, allowing some displaced individuals to return to their homes.
The initial phase of the agreement includes a prisoner exchange, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the return of Palestinian refugees to their original residences. Additionally, it has been agreed that 600 vehicles of humanitarian aid will enter the Gaza Strip daily.
The Rafah crossing will reopen seven days after the ceasefire takes effect, with the European Union providing technical oversight for its management, according to sources from Al Arabiya news agency.
The second phase of the agreement aims for a lasting peace, continuing the prisoner exchange, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
The third phase, scheduled to last for 42 days, includes the exchange of deceased bodies between both sides. A comprehensive Gaza reconstruction program will commence, funded by Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations, aimed at rebuilding homes and public facilities while compensating victims of the conflict. Roads leading to Gaza will be permanently opened, ensuring freedom of movement for people and goods.
