NSIA Reports Over 4,000 Foreign Nationals Arrive and Depart Afghanistan in Last Month
KABUL(BNA): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) has reported that during the past month, over 4,000 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan via various air and land ports.
According to the official report, a total of 2,131 foreign nationals, including 63 women, arrived in Afghanistan, while 1,809 foreign nationals, of whom 11 were women, departed during the same period.
Notably, 2,141 individuals entered through land border points, with an additional 53 arrivals recorded by air. Among the entrants, 434 visited for tourism purposes, specifically to explore Afghanistan’s historical and cultural sites, while the remainder arrived for employment and business-related activities.
The report further highlights that most foreign nationals utilized major transit points such as the Nimroz and Torkham border crossings, Herat’s airports and land ports, Hairatan border, and the airport in Balkh province. This movement underscores the growing interest and engagement in Afghanistan for both tourism and investment opportunities.
