KABUL(BNA): The Directorate of Information and Culture in Paktia has officially received 33 historical artifacts recently discovered in the province and transferred them to the National Museum.
Mawlawi Sawab Jan Islam Yar, the head of the Directorate of Information and Culture in Paktia, informed a local reporter from Bakhtar News Agency that the artifacts include coins, small pottery items, and statues. The transfer was conducted in the presence of several government officials, emphasizing the cultural significance of these artifacts.
The officials noted that the artifacts were uncovered in different parts of the province, and a specialized team is expected to assess their age and historical value.
The Paktia Provincial Museum, established in 2011, currently houses approximately 100 historical and ancient items, preserving the region’s rich cultural heritage.
