New Zealand to Donate $2 Million To Afghanistan’s Agriculture

KABUL (BNA) New Zealand to donate $2 million in support of agriculturists to Afghanistan’s agricultural sector.

According to BAN; The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) said in a statement that New Zealand was providing $2 million in assistance to almost 95,000 farmers in Nangarhar, Kunduz, Parwan and Maidan Wardak provinces, including improved wheat seeds and cash for farmers.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of Afghanistan’s director welcomed the New Zealand emergency aid, saying; Afghan farmers will get good yields this year with quality improved seeds.

The declaration states; The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations distributes $175 worth of improved wheat for each of the 49,000 farmers, and about $100 is paid to the rest of farmers working on small and important rural projects.
