New Terminal in Maidan Wardak to Enhance Travel and Employment Opportunities

MAIDAN WARDAK (BNA): Local officials in Maidan Wardak report that the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has begun constructing a terminal for passenger vehicles in the province, with a budget of 68 million Afghanis.
During the inauguration ceremony, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mullah Hamdullah Nomani, stated that the terminal is being built on 38 jeribs of land, funded from the Islamic Emirate’s development budget.
According to him, the terminal will have the capacity to park 200 vehicles, and the construction is expected to be completed within the next nine months.
The acting minister added that the first phase of the project will start with a budget of 23 million Afghanis, and the remaining work will be completed in the future.
Officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department of Maidan Wardak province said that the implementation of this project will create job opportunities for 1,000 people in the area and provide numerous facilities for travelers from southern provinces.
Meanwhile, residents of Maidan Wardak expressed happiness over the initiation of this project, noting that its completion will create job opportunities for youth and solve many problems for travelers.
