New Telecommunication Infrastructure to Boost Connectivity in Farah

 

FARAH(BNA): Officials from the Farah Provincial Department of Communications and Information Technology announced the construction of 11 new telecommunication sites at a total cost of 91 million Afghanis.

Mullah Abdul Majid Abuzar, head of the department, confirmed that in addition to the activation of 10 existing telecommunication sites, the new sites will be strategically located in various areas of Farah. The projects are expected to be completed within the next 10 months.

Furthermore, the department has approved the installation of five telecommunication antennas in the districts of Bakwah, Farah Rud, Parchman, and Nardara. Currently, the construction of two antennas in the Sah Qala and Gorzank areas of Islamabad is underway, with completion anticipated in the next two months.

In a positive financial update, the Farah Department of Telecommunications reported a revenue collection of 510,616 Afghanis during the current fiscal year 1403, marking an increase of 135,616 Afghanis compared to the previous year.
