MoU Signed to Support Orphans, Widows, and Disabled Individuals in Afghanistan

 

KABUL(BNA): The Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Humanitarian Human Rights Development (HHRD) Organization, committing over five million Afghanis to aid orphans, widows, and individuals with disabilities across several provinces.

The agreement was finalized between Mullah Sado Khan Haqshenas, the Director of External Relations and Planning at the Ministry, and Obaidullah Ahmadi, Supervisor at the HHRD Charity Organization. The MoU aims to enhance the living conditions of 440 vulnerable individuals in Nangarhar, Badakhshan, Helmand, Laghman, and Takhar provinces.

Under the terms of this agreement, beneficiaries will receive essential items, including solar panels and hand-woven carpets, designed to improve their quality of life. The total cost of the initiative amounts to 5,143,528 Afghanis and is set to be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled within a two-month timeframe.
