Ministry of Interior Calls for Global Cooperation Against Drug Trafficking


KABUL(BNA): Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, emphasized in a video clip that narcotics constitute a global threat, underscoring the need for coordinated efforts and joint actions among countries and international organizations to combat this phenomenon effectively.

“We can confidently state that currently, there is no threat posed by narcotics from Afghanistan to neighboring countries or the world. We urge international organizations to collaborate with the Islamic Emirate in providing facilities, especially livelihood alternatives, for Afghan farmers.” Spokesman Qaneh stated.

He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to combating narcotics and has successfully reduced drug production in Afghanistan despite limited resources and a short timeframe.
