KABUL(BNAl: As part of the program to highlight annual achievements, officials from the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs shared the ministry’s key activities and accomplishments over the past year with the media today.
During a meeting held at the Government Media and Information Center, the Deputy Minister of Border Affairs, Mawlawi Mohammad Ismail Ghaznawi, stated that under the theme “Stability of the Islamic System, National Unity, and Integration,” the ministry has organized 34 large-scale public gatherings, involving thousands of religious scholars, tribal leaders, and community elders, along with three extraordinary zonal gatherings based on the decree of the esteemed Supreme Leader.
These gatherings were aimed at strengthening the Islamic system, promoting national unity, and eliminating discrimination within the country.
Speakers and participants emphasized the importance of cooperation to reinforce national unity, fight against discrimination, and defend the country and the stability of the Islamic system.
Mawlawi Ghaznawi added that with the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, the level of ethnic conflicts in the country has significantly decreased. As a result of the ministry’s efforts, 304 gatherings and 525 meetings were held over the past year to resolve disputes and hostility among different ethnic groups, turning them into friendships.
Notable examples include the resolution of a 50-year conflict in Kushk Rabat Sangi district of Herat, a 20-year conflict in Abkamari district of Badghis, a 24-year conflict between Kuchi and Hazara communities in Ghazni, and a 40-year conflict in the Abshar district of Panjshir.
According to ministry officials, last year, 699 students graduated from ministry-affiliated schools, and 1,632 new students were enrolled. Currently, 7,104 students are studying in these schools. Additionally, a new school named “Pamiri” has been established in Faizabad, Badakhshan, to accommodate Pamiri students, with the recruitment of teachers and staff currently underway.
Furthermore, the ministry operates 100 mobile and 11 fixed clinics for the healthcare of nomads, along with 60 veterinary clinics for treating their livestock, providing continuous health services.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to its other responsibilities, the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs has consistently collected timely information on violations along the country’s official borders, including zero points, border lines, and the Durand Line.
