Mines Minister Mullah Badri Discusses Investment Opportunities with Turkish Ambassador

KABUL(BNA): Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan, met with Cenk Unal, the Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation to discuss potential collaborations and investments.
During the meeting, Ambassador Unal emphasized Turkey’s commitment to supporting the Afghan people across various sectors. He also highlighted the interest of Turkish businessmen investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.
Furthermore, he announced that 77 Construction Company, a prominent Turkish firm, is set to commence its operations in Afghanistan shortly.
Ambassador Unal also commended the Islamic Emirate for its achievements in the past three years, particularly in establishing nationwide security, which has created a favorable environment for foreign investment.
For his part, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri assured that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum welcomes both national and international investors interested in Afghanistan’s mining sector.
He further reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to facilitate and support foreign investment, especially from Turkish investors, in the country’s oil and gas industry.
By fostering a secure and stable environment, the Ministry aims to attract further investments to boost economic development and create job opportunities in Afghanistan.
