KABUL(BNA): In a message to the nation, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan hailed August 14th as a historic and proud day for Afghanistan and the entire Islamic world. On this date in 2021, the Mujahideen forces of the Islamic Emirate triumphantly entered Kabul, marking the end of a 20-year battle against American and NATO invader forces.
The Prime Minister congratulated the “Mujahid nation and the Muslim Ummah” on this day of “Jihad and conquest against the Western invaders.” He praised the sacrifices of the martyrs, the wounded, prisoners, and Mujahideen who contributed to the ultimate victory.
The Prime Minister framed the defeat of the US and its allies as a “victory of faith and spirituality over materialism.” He noted that the Mujahideen, with limited resources, were able to overcome the superior military might of the foreign forces – a clear sign, he said, of divine intervention and assistance.
With the successful conclusion of the jihad, the Prime Minister emphasized that the responsibilities of the Islamic Emirate have only increased. These include strengthening the Islamic system, stabilizing the country, and protecting the lives, wealth and honor of the Afghan people. He called on all Mujahideen, officials and the general public to approach these duties with “complete sincerity and seriousness.”
The commemoration of August 14th is a major source of national pride for the Islamic Emirate and its supporters, who view it as a triumph of their faith and perseverance over a global superpower. The Prime Minister’s message underscores the Islamic Emirate’s determination to consolidate its control and implement its vision of an Islamic government in Afghanistan.
