Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali Meets with Bill Gates Foundation to Enhance Health Initiatives

KABUL(BNA): In an online meeting, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Acting Minister of Public Health, engaged with representatives from the Bill Gates Foundation to discuss strategic cooperation aimed at improving health sector initiatives in Afghanistan.

The discussions, which centered on financial support, disease prevention, and enhancing healthcare access in remote regions, highlighted critical priorities for the Ministry of Public Health.

According to a statement from the ministry, key topics included financial backing for the health sector, the prevention of infectious diseases, the eradication of polio, and the establishment of health centers in underserved areas.

Acting Minister Jalali emphasized the urgent need to provide healthcare services to remote populations and to control the spread of infectious diseases.

He called for coordinated and transparent support from international organizations to bolster these initiatives, underscoring their vital importance for the health and well-being of the Afghan population.
