Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi Meets Iranian Ambassador to Kabul

KABUL(BNA): Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Iranian Ambassador to Kabul, Alireza Bekdali, on Wednesday to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.
In a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that the meeting focused on the exchange of high-level delegations, economic cooperation, and several regional issues.
One key topic was the operation and capacity expansion of Chabahar Port, which Minister Muttaqi highlighted as a potential avenue for mutual benefits for both countries and the wider region.
Ambassador Bekdali provided details into his recent discussions with relevant organizations in Tehran regarding Afghanistan, stressing the need to implement agreements already reached in the economic sector.
Ambassador Bekdali reiterated Iran’s commitment to fostering progress and collaboration with Afghanistan across various fields.
The discussions underscore the commitment of both nations to work together for mutual benefit and regional stability.
