Kunar-Nuristan Highway Reconstruction Commences with AFN 600 Million Investment

 

KABUL(BNA): Local authorities in Nuristan province have officially launched the extensive reconstruction of the Kunar-Nuristan highway, a significant infrastructure project with a budget of 600 million Afghanis.

Qari Zain-ul-Abideen Abid, the Governor of Kunar, informed Bakhtar News Agency that this critical project, backed financially by the Ministry of Public Works, will span 22 kilometers in length and 9 meters in width.

The reconstruction aims to establish a durable and modern roadway, enhancing connectivity between Kunar and Nuristan provinces. The project’s inauguration was marked by a ceremony attended by several local officials.

Residents of the area welcomed the initiative, expressing their appreciation for the Islamic Emirate’s efforts and urging for the implementation of more developmental projects in the future to promote regional growth and improve transportation infrastructure.
