Khost Province Launches Infrastructure Projects Worth 93 Million AFN

 

KHOST(BNA): The construction of roads and drainage systems in Khost city has commenced with a budget of approximately 93 million Afghanis. The projects include the development of roads and drains in Nakamura Square’s northern section, the 1st and 3rd districts, and the Takhte Biko area.

According to Khost Mayor Qari Bismillah Bilal, the projects involve the construction of 2,385 meters of roads, 3,500 meters of drains, 910 meters of slabs in Nakamura Square, and six culverts in the Takhte Biko area. The construction is funded through the municipal budget and is expected to be completed within six months.

Additionally, Khost Governor Mawlawi Abdul Qayum Ruhani emphasized the importance of community collaboration for project success, stating that the implementation of such initiatives is responsibility of the Islamic Emirate. He urged citizens to cooperate with the administration to ensure the smooth execution of these projects.

Residents of Khost expressed satisfaction with the launch of these projects, highlighting the necessity of continuing such development initiatives to enhance the city’s infrastructure and beauty.

Additionally, other public utility projects are currently underway in Khost, many of which are nearing completion.
