Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Seeks Positive U.S. Relations Following Presidential Election

KABUL(BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a recently issued statement, expressed that Afghanistan, committed to a balanced foreign policy, anticipates that the results of the U.S. elections will lead the forthcoming U.S. administration to adopt pragmatic measures.

Such steps, the statement noted, would facilitate meaningful advancement in bilateral relations, enabling both Afghanistan and the United States to inaugurate a new chapter grounded in mutual engagement and cooperation.

The statement further conveyed expectations that Trump would assume a constructive role in efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts regionally and globally, particularly focusing on the cessation of violence and aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

It is worth noting that the Doha Agreement, signed between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the United States under President Donald Trump’s administration, marked the conclusion of a two-decade-long foreign military presence in Afghanistan.
