Islamic Emirate Delegation Visits Iran to Enhance Trade Relations

KABUL(BNA): A delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, led by Mohammadullah Bakhtyar, the Head of Transit Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, departed for Iran on Friday.

This visit aims to strengthen trade ties between Kabul and Tehran, mainly through the strategic port of Chabahar.

The delegation’s trip follows a recent visit by a high-ranking team from the Islamic Emirate, which was headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Economic Minister. This earlier visit focused on discussions regarding industry and trade opportunities at the Chabahar port, a key hub for regional commerce.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate confirmed that the current delegation will engage in talks with Iranian counterparts to facilitate smoother trade processes and explore potential collaborations that could benefit both nations.
