KABUL(BNA): In a recent cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Energy and Water was tasked with taking decisive measures to reinforce the banks of the Amu Darya River.
According to a report released by ARG, the meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Several topics were discussed and decisions were made during the session.
The cabinet specifically directed the Ministry of Energy and Water to implement robust actions to strengthen the Amu River’s banks and prevent erosion and damage to its shores.
Additionally, the meeting approved the first-quarter report of non-tax revenues from the Ministry of Finance. Some departments were commended, while others were advised to adhere to the Ministry of Finance’s guidelines and make optimal use of available resources and opportunities.
Furthermore, a committee was appointed to thoroughly investigate and report on the reclamation of properties belonging to Afghan Textile Company. The committee is expected to present its final report in the next cabinet meeting.
