KABUL(BNA): Several Iranian investors expressed their interest in mining Afghanistan’s mineral resources during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Al-Aryoubi, Deputy Minister for Planning and Policy, met with the Deputy Ambassador of Iran in Kabul, university professors, and several Iranian investors at the ministry’s headquarters.
During the meeting, the Iranian investors provided information about their companies’ operations and conveyed their interest in extracting metal mines and oil fields in Afghanistan.
The Deputy Minister welcomed their interest and assured them of the ministry’s cooperation and support for investment in the extraction of the country’s mineral resources.
