KABUL(BNA): In an incident related to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, several individuals have been arrested, according to Al Jazeera citing American media reports.
The New York Times reported that Iranian police have detained dozens of individuals, including military officers, in connection with the ongoing investigation into Haniyeh’s death.
Reports indicate that following the incident, police stormed the Revolutionary Guards’ guesthouse, where Haniyeh was killed, and detained all those present for questioning.
Additionally, Iranian sources have mentioned that police have increased restrictions at airports in search of specific individuals.
Iranian police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the arrests.
