ICRC and Qatar Charitable Foundation Offices to Reopen in Kabul

KABUL (BNA) Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsuadi and Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister Lolwah Al-Khater on the sidelines of the Doha Assembly.

According to BNA reports, the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release that the meeting focused on Afghanistan’s humanitarian, economic and educational issues.

In the meeting, the Indonesian Foreign Minister and the Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister assured that they would continue their humanitarian assistance and cooperation with the Afghan people.

Indonesia’s foreign minister has promised that his country will work with Afghanistan’s educational institutions and also provide educational opportunities for Afghan students.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister said that the offices of the Charitable Foundation and the Red Crescent Administration in Kabul will be reopened soon.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, while thanking the cooperation of Qatar and Indonesia, said that the Islamic Emirate is committed to interacting with the world and strengthening areas of cooperation.

Two days back, the foreign ministers of Qatar and Indonesia signed a cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the Doha summit to help the Afghan people.
