KABUL(BNA): The European Union has called on the occupying regime to explicitly distance itself from provocations leading to war crimes and to engage in immediate ceasefire negotiations.
Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, stated on his X that while the world pressures for a ceasefire in Gaza, Itamar Ben-Gvir, internal security minister of the occupying regime has called for a reduction in fuel supplies and aid to civilians in Gaza.
He also condemned the remarks of Bezalel Smotrich, the finance minister of the occupying regime, as ominous and inciting war crimes, stating that sanctions should be on the EU’s agenda.
Borrell further urged the Israeli regime to explicitly distance itself from these provocations leading to war crimes and to participate in good faith in ceasefire negotiations facilitated by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt.
Previously, Borrell had criticized Smotrich’s statement about starving two million Gaza residents as disgraceful, highlighting it as another example of his contempt for international law and fundamental human principles.
