Dawlatabad Salt Mine Commences Extraction with $24 Million Investment

 

FARYAB(BNA): The extraction operations at the Dawlatabad District salt mine in Faryab province, one of Afghanistan’s largest mines, have commenced.

According to Bakhtar News Agency, the mine, which spans an area of 14 square kilometers, is being developed with an investment of $24 million USD.

Local officials stated that this mine holds significant economic value for the country and has created job opportunities for hundreds of locals.

Notably, since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, illegal mining activities across the country have been curbed.
