Daesh Khorasan Relocates to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Says Zabiullah Mujahid

KABUL(BNA): In a recent statement, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, revealed that remnants of the Daesh Khorasan group have reportedly relocated to the Pakistani provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Zabiullah Mujahid asserted that following a crackdown by the Islamic Emirate’s special forces, these members were assisted by certain intelligence organizations in their transfer.

Mujahid highlighted that the relocated leaders and operatives have established new centers and training camps in these regions. From these locations, they are said to be planning and executing attacks not only within Afghanistan but also targeting various countries.

The spokesman noted that the Daesh Khorasan group has been mainly focused on targeting religious scholars and members of both religious and political organizations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He warned that these factions are being utilized for ulterior motives by certain groups, suggesting a broader agenda that extends beyond regional stability.

The situation raises concerns about the resurgence of extremist activities in the region and the implications for security in Afghanistan and neighboring areas. The Islamic Emirate has vowed to continue its efforts to combat these threats and maintain order within its territory.
