DABS Officials Engage Turkmenistan on Advancing Regional Energy Projects

KABUL(BNA): Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), along with his delegation, has traveled to Turkmenistan, where they met with key officials, including Dovletdurdy Elyasov, the head of Turkmenistan’s Electricity Company, Murad Artikov, the head of the TAP project, and other senior officials.

According to a statement from DABS, the discussions focused on the progress of the TAP project and several other bilateral initiatives aimed at enhancing regional cooperation.

During the meeting, Dr. Omar underscored the importance of expanding economic relations between the two neighboring countries and expressed appreciation for Turkmenistan’s continued support to Afghanistan in various sectors.

As part of this visit, the two countries are expected to finalize an electricity purchase agreement for 2025, further solidifying their economic collaboration.
