Construction Resumes on Kabul-Logar Road’s First Phase
KABUL(BNA): The Kabul Municipality has announced the resumption of construction on the first phase of the Kabul-Logar road, valued at 920 million Afghanis, after a brief delay.
The Deputy for Construction Affairs at Kabul Municipality, Engineer Amir Zmarak Yasar, stated that the remaining portion of the Kabul-Logar road, located within Kabul city, was assigned to the municipality for completion following a decision by the Cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
This phase stretches seven kilometers, from Nijat Square to the Charkh Ab area, with a width of 60 meters. It will feature two main and two auxiliary lanes built to international standards. The project is slated for completion within two years and will subsequently be opened for public use.
This road project not only serves as a vital economic connector linking Kabul to six southern and southeastern provinces but is also expected to alleviate traffic congestion and improve urban infrastructure significantly.
