Construction Projects Underway in Helmand, Says Acting Culture Minister

HELMAND(BNA): Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Acting Minister of Information and Culture, emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to implementing construction projects across Afghanistan during a recent visit to Helmand province.
Accompanied by provincial officials, including Deputy Governor Mawlavi Mohammad Nabi Hamas and Ulema Council head Sheikh Abdul Wali Agha, Minister Khairkhwa assesses the construction of a vital road connecting Lashkar Gah to the Herat highway.
During his visit, he expressed his enthusiasm for the ongoing projects, stating, “It is a place of great joy that construction projects are being implemented in Helmand.” Minister Khairkhwa highlighted the transformation of an area once marked by conflict into a site of development and opportunity, attributing this progress to the return of the Islamic Emirate, which has fostered a climate of peace.
The newly constructed road, spanning 27.5 kilometers from Lashkar Gah, is expected to enhance connectivity and provide essential services to local communities. Funded by the Islamic Emirate’s budget, the project has already created numerous employment opportunities for residents.
Acting Information and Culture Minister Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to initiating similar construction efforts throughout the country, mainly in areas affected by war. He emphasized that these initiatives aim to promote self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on external aid, ultimately improving the quality of life for Afghan citizens.
