Construction Begins on Qush Tepa-Darzab Road in Jowzjan at 1.4 Billion AFN

 

JOWZJAN(BNA): The Ministry of Public Works has announced the commencement of construction for a 51-kilometer road in Jowzjan province at an estimated cost of 1.4 billion Afghanis.

According to Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works, the reconstruction of the Qush Tepa-Darzab road in Jowzjan province has been contracted to three construction companies, divided into three segments, with an estimated total cost of 1.4 billion Afghanis. The construction work began today.

Haqshenas added that the 51-kilometer road stretches from Qush Tepa district to Darzab district in Jowzjan province. The project includes the construction of two bridges, 137 culverts, retaining walls, and drainage ditches along the road.

Residents of the involved districts have expressed their satisfaction with the commencement of these projects, hopeful that the construction of this road will alleviate their transportation challenges.
