Construction Begins on 114 Shelters in Sar-e-Pul, Worth Nearly 40 Million AFN

 

SAR-e-PUL(BNA): The construction of 114 shelters, with an allocated budget of nearly 40 million Afghanis, has commenced in Sar-e-Pul province, facilitated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

During the official groundbreaking ceremony, Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rashid, Deputy Minister for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, highlighted that each shelter will cost 350,000 Afghanis and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Da-Mullah Mohammad Nader Haqjo, Deputy Governor of Sar-e-Pul, underscored the critical need for continued support for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), emphasizing that comprehensive assistance is essential to their recovery and reintegration efforts.
