China Confirms Second Aid Package of 100 Million Yuan for Afghanistan
KABUL(BNA): Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, met today with Mr. Zhao Xing, the Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan, in his office.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, the discussion focused on the delivery and logistics of the second batch of aid, valued at 100 million yuan, provided by China.
During the meeting, Minister Haqqani thanked China for its assistance, emphasizing the increased needs of refugees with the onset of winter. He urged for the timely delivery of the aid to address these urgent requirements.
The Chinese Ambassador assured that the technical preparations for the second batch of aid have been completed. He confirmed that the transfer process will commence by the end of this month after the administrative formalities are finalized.
Both sides also stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation to better address the challenges faced by refugees.
