KABUL(BNA): Media reports on Tuesday indicate that Hamas, and the Israeli regime have reached an agreement on a draft ceasefire in Gaza, along with provisions for the release of hostages.

Officials from both sides are preparing for an official announcement regarding the finalization of this agreement in the coming hours.

According to Al-Arabiya, citing CBS News, the negotiating parties have agreed on the principles of the ceasefire, marking a potential turning point in the ongoing conflict. Israeli negotiators have reportedly informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the agreement is likely to be formalized shortly.

The Associated Press has also confirmed, through two informed sources involved in the negotiations, that Hamas has accepted the draft ceasefire agreement. This proposed agreement has been reviewed by the Associated Press, and its authenticity has been confirmed by both Egyptian officials and Hamas representatives.

An Israeli official involved in the negotiations stated that substantial progress has been made and that negotiators are finalizing the last details of the agreement.
