KABUL(BNA): The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund convened on Monday, focusing on key issues affecting the nation, including the prevention of sub-quality fuel imports.
According to a statement from Arg, the meeting was the eighth of its kind since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. During the session, several critical topics were discussed, leading to significant decisions aimed at enhancing the country’s economic stability.
One of the primary outcomes was the formation of a committee, headed by Mawlawi Shamsuddin Shariati, the General Director of Monitoring Orders and Decrees. This committee has been assigned the task of conducting a thorough review of the Economic Committee’s plan to curb the importation of sub-standard fuel. They are expected to present a comprehensive report to the cabinet in the near future.
In addition, the Ministry of Interior has been tasked with developing a plan concerning the importation and regulation of rickshaw vehicles within urban areas. This initiative aims to improve urban mobility and will be reviewed at the next cabinet meeting.
