Balkh Regional Hospital Treats Over 55,000 Patients in Six Months

BALKH(BNA): The Balkh Public Health Department has reported that the Balkh Regional Hospital provided medical services to tens of thousands of patients over the past six months.

According to Kamaluddin Zadran, spokesman for the Balkh Public Health Directorate, the hospital received a total of 55,863 patients during this period. Of these, 5,987 individuals were admitted, treated, and subsequently discharged in stable condition.

Zadran highlighted that the hospital’s largest unit within the General Internal Medicine Service is the Hemodialysis Department, which operates 24/7 with a team of skilled professionals.

Over the first half of the current year, 570 patients received treatment in the Hemodialysis Department, completing over 3,000 dialysis sessions before returning home after successful recovery.
