Asphalt Work on Khair Khana Pass Road Underway as Kabul Mayor Calls for Quality and Speed

KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Abdul Rashid, Mayor of Kabul, has inspected the ongoing asphalt work on the second section of the Khair Khana Pass road.

According to a statement from the Kabul Municipality, during his inspection of the road in Kabul’s 17th district, Mayor Abdul Rashid stressed the importance of quality and the acceleration of work. He urged the contracting company to complete the asphalt paving of one lane before the snowfall, allowing it to open for traffic.

The road spans over 2.5 kilometers in length and 60 meters in width. To date, 700 meters of one lane have been asphalted, with groundwork ongoing on other sections to prepare them for paving.
